NO ONE IS COMING TO RESCUE YOU
The stock market is tanking. It’s not a quick high dive, it’s a steady erosion, day after day.
The cost of gasoline is going up rapidly here in California. Today I paid $4.69 per gallon for premium, up from $4.49 only two weeks ago.
Fresh food prices continue to rise weekly, driven by the uncertainty over tariffs (now you see a tariff, now you don’t). Farmers and wholesalers are caught in the crossfire while fruits and vegetables rot in trees and fields due to the massive shortage of migrant labor.
Economists and analysts are warning us that a recession is on the horizon, sooner, not later. Government job losses are already in the tens of thousands, with more to come. Private sector jobs are rare. Middle-management job applicants are enduring months of uncertainty, hoping for a break that may not come.
And I won’t even start on Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Social Security. Those pesky little programs that you and I have paid into our entire working lives.
Meanwhile, your privacy is an illusion. Every byte of your personal information, financial, legal, medical, even dental, has been or can be uncovered.
This is your new reality. It’s infuriating, isn’t it? It’s terrifying, isn’t it? But wait. . .there’s more. And it’s worse.
The rapist/felon squatting in our White House? He doesn’t care.
Our economy is spiraling downward? He doesn’t care.
Our poor who once relied on eggs as a cheap protein source can’t afford them anymore. He doesn’t care.
He would rather not hear about the plight of our farmers as they lose crops and possibly their farms or ranches. He doesn’t care.
He doesn’t know the difference between Medicare and Med-Cal, nor does he care. To him, and the Republican party as a whole, Social Security is an “entitlement”.
The sole criteria upon which every decision he makes from that Oval Office is “how can I keep what I have and accumulate more?”
tRump is building his empire on our backs, care-less of the financial security of everyday Americans. He does not need to invest a nest egg. He will not depend on Social Security. If a terrorist plot comes to fruition, he and his immediate family will be well protected as long as need be. His source of fresh food and water is guaranteed. His current and future healthcare is provided for. When he leaves our White House for the last time, he will have created and walk into his empire.
tRump is so busy insulating himself it would come as no surprise to me that in the event of a national catastrophe, he left his wife and children to rot with the rest of us. He has outsourced every cabinet position to the most unqualified people he could find. He doesn’t care. It does not affect him.
If our government shuts down, he doesn’t care because he doesn’t need to.
tRump has no moral boundaries. If he can’t “work a deal” with Ukraine over the mineral deposits, and of course have a plan to invest himself, he will sit by and watch Ukraine and it’s peoples burn to the ground. He doesn’t care.
tRump is by far the most dangerous person anywhere. He needs to be stopped. Congress has that power. Our Republican Congress refuses to help us. Flat out refuses. Aren’t you tired of being upset? Aren’t you weary? If for no other reason than financial, don’t you want/need change? THIS HELPS. IT TRULY DOES. CALL OR WRITE YOUR CONGRESSPERSON. DO IT. NO ONE IS COMING TO RESCUE YOU OR ME OR ANYBODY ELSE. The Democrats do not have enough votes in the House to make a difference. IT’S YOU AND IT’S ME. Calls and/or letters really matter. And when the mid-terms arrive VOTE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.
By the way, after numerous calls and one Certified Return Receipt letter to Congressman Ken Calvert at least three weeks ago, complete silence. He knows I’m pissed and I’m going to do everything I can at the mid-terms to get his fat ass out of the House.
